Once again a fantastic conference @compassionatemind_foundation in Birmingham. It was great getting to not only present but also hear my peers present some brilliant research. And seeing my brother @wfkirby is always the icing on the cake!

I was on the @dontquiton.me podcast recently where I spoke with Nick about compassion. It was a really meaningful conversation that I hope you can all go have a listen to.
In this clip Nick asked me how we can connect with people in a compassionate way. I gave him the example of talking to someone about a wedding could be seen as a kind act where as talking to someone about a funeral could be considered a compassionate act.

After a flight delay (which meant Mum could come out and see me off at the airport!) I’m finally on my way to the @compassionatemind_foundation conference in Birmingham. I’ll be speaking at three events.
Monday 9th October I’ll be presenting on Compassion Focused Therapy, Families and Parenting.
Tuesday 10th October I’ll be doing a Keynote on Compassion and Parenting
And I'll be Chair at the Symposium for Early Life, Buildong Relationships and Mental Health.
It's going to be a jam packed few days but I'm looking forward to it!

It's only a week away before the CMF Conference 2023. The theme this year is “Compassion
Through Life's Journey”. Very excited to be part of such an excellent program of workshops, keynotes and symposium. Very special that my PhD student Deanna Varley is presenting on her work examining attachment and fears of compassion. Can’t wait to connect with everyone!
